To Remember

This past weekend we enjoyed the company of my Mom and Dad as they visited us for the first time since their return from Cambodia. It was a treasure to have them in our home again. They are such a great example to me and to our entire family and we thoroughly enjoyed having them share more pictures, stories and experiences from their mission. Their self-less service made a difference in the lives of so many. What wonderful people their are all around the world.

Our family feels so blessed to have wonderful neighbors and friends that surround us.

A few weeks ago as we were studying our scriptures John asked everyone to share a scripture from their personal scripture study. When we got to Maren I noticed she had every word, for about the first 100 pages of the Book of Mormon, underlined wherever there was a reference to God, Jesus Christ, or the Lord. I asked her why she underlined these words and her reply was, "It helps me to remember Him." Such a simple answer and yet so profoundly simply. We do study the scriptures so that we might "always remember Him."
