Since Maren is turning 8 this week I thought I would share a few Marenisms!!!
Maren frequently makes our family laugh so I thought I would share a few funny comments (at least they were funny to us) that she has said recently.
We have about 12 chickens, (I think) in a chicken coop in our backyard and Maren has been given the responsibility to feed them layer feed, scratch and water them. When John recently questioned her about how many scoops of scratch she was throwing out so he could assess how she was doing her response after thoughtful consideration was, "Random numbers!!!" Hopefully the the only thing random is the numbers and not the actual feeding of the chickens.
Second story. Over the years we have sporadically talked about love languages and how each of us receive love certain ways such as verbal, touch, service, food etc.. In a conversation with her sister BayLenn she said, "Don't ya know BayLenn one of my love languages is sharing!!" I asked her later if that meant that she liked people to share with her or if she like to share with others. She said, "Remember when Dad let me choose a treat at the store I chose gum and came home and shared all of it with our family and the Simmermans(a family that was living with us at the time)?" I did remember and I am so grateful Maren recognizes that we do feel love when we share. Sharing is a love language!!! Thanks Maren for your wonderful insights!!! We look forward to more Marenisms in the future!!!
